Summer Bishil has been an American actor since the year 2015. She is known as Margo Hanon from the Syfy Fantasy Fiction show The Magicians. She had previously gained recognition as the character of the 13-year-old American Lebanese girl Jasira Maroun who undergoes tumultuous personal experiences in the context of the U.S. war in Iraq in the Gulf War in the Alan Ball film Towelhead. The film was later chosen as one of Variety's 10 actors to watch in 2007. The 2009 film Crossing Over, in which she portrayed the powerful character Taslima Jhangir and was nominated for the Independent Spirit Award as the leading female in the film. Other film roles she has played include Moozlum The Last Airbender Pop Star, Under the Silver Lake and a number of guest appearances on television.
